WATERJET PROCESSING

PROVIDING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS IN GLASS PROCESSING WITH YOUR GLASS PRECISION CUT, TO A PERFECT SHAPE, AND A PERFECT SIZE

The methods for precision glass cutting are typically blade or diamond tip cutting and both have historically delivered tight tolerances.

When Lisec launched its ground breaking Waterjet Technology it revolutionised the glass processing industry and in 2007 Super Sealed Units was the first Glass Processing Company in the UK to invest in the technology. The method uses sand and water to cut not only edges, but to drill holes, shapes and even cut outs.

  • This method of glass processing is so dynamic it increased efficiencies 10 fold over traditional methods, and, its tolerances are so tight it delivers an exceptionally high quality product.

  • Renowned for being an innovator within the industry Super Sealed Units was the first to bring this technology to the market place and the company dedicates time and resource to innovation and continuously looks at new products which will improve our service and product to clients.

CNC Processing

Always leading innovation.

CNC Processing (Computer Numerical Control Processing) involves processing glass with a precision tool which is guided by computer software with pinpoint accuracy. It is particularly intelligent and useful for bespoke designs, a curved edge or a circle for example. So, as the computer interprets the CAD design the tool translates it perfectly to the glass. This is a slower and more industrial process than Waterjet Processing, it relies on metal tooling rather than water and sand. The flexibility of this tooling enables the polishing of irregular edges, to produce all round clear edging.

  • Super Sealed Units has invested in the Lisec KBF machine – the first of its kind in the UK. This vertical CNC machine is capable of processing jumbo sized glass. Like the waterjet, it is another technology busting machine which enables the CNC Processing of Jumbo sized glass. Just as with the waterjet, the vertical technology enables faster processing time and reduces the possibility of scratches.

  • CNC machine technology can read CAD or Vector files to accurately create a copy, design or shape on the glass.

  • After cutting the glass can be toughened to create a Safety Glass.

No job is too big or too complex, we can deliver whatever you need, when you need it.

DRILLING

We can drill holes, big and small, and we can drill lots of them.

Drilling multiple, accurate holes is one of the most technically challenging aspects of working with glass and the Super Sealed Units team, and our technology, are renowned for being the best at it.

  • Whatever requires drilling: glass doors, mirrors, furniture or bespoke item, holes are essential and make an items fit for purpose.

  • We use diamond tipped drill bits, known to be the very best for precision cutting of the perfect hole.

  • Whether you need two pieces of glass or two thousand, we can guarantee perfect drill holes every time.

Our glass cutting service delivers:

  • Perfectly drilled holes in glass panels at any size for: handles, metalwork or locks
  • Perfect ‘cut-outs’: useful for sink cut outs on kitchen worktops or socket holes for splash backs.
